Uniform

It is College policy that all students must wear full college uniform in Years 7 to 11.  Here at Longbenton Community College we have very high expectations of uniform and it is therefore essential that all students wear our uniform smartly and correctly.
 
Please find below a list of what is expected with regard to uniform :

BOYS
Plain black V-neck sweatshirt with badge
Plain white shirt with collar
Black trousers (but not jeans or combat trousers)
Black or white socks
Black shoes
Red and black striped tie (clip on for Years 7 to 9)


 

GIRLS
Plain black V-neck sweatshirt with badge
Plain white shirt with collar
Black trousers (but not jeans or combat trousers) or black skirt
Black or white socks or black tights
Black flat-heeled shoes
Red and black striped tie (clip on for Years 7 to 9)




 
Sweatshirts and ties should be purchased from the college.
 
We do not allow :
  • Black jeans or combat trousers.
  • Polo neck shirts, tee-shirts and shirts with a sports type collar.  (Shirts must be able to accept a tie).
  • Any colour, other than white, for shirts.
  • Grey trousers.
  • Brown or any other coloured shoes.
  • Trainers (including "leisure shoes" or plimsolls.
  • boots (higher than the normal shoe).
  • baseball caps.
  • Denim, corduroy, brushed cotton or other standard materials for skirts and trousers.
  • Facial or body piercings.
  • Jewellery, which includes earrings, finger rings, bracelets and necklaces, is not to be worn in the Lower School.
  • Makeup to be worn by students in Years 7, 8 and 9.
A watch may be worn but the College will not take any responsibility for the safety of any watches that are worn.
 
The following Sports and Physical Education Kit is required.  Orders can be placed at any point during the year.  However, in preparation for Year 7, the PE list will be ordered from the primary schools in April.  Clothing will be available to assist with sizing.
