PARENT GOVERNOR VACANCIES
The school are looking to fill two Parent Governor vacancies that have arisen on the school’s Governing Body.
The role of Governor is a very interesting and rewarding one, observing how the school works, monitoring standards achieved and providing support at events and functions. The Governors meet four times a year, starting at 6pm for around two hours. In addition, various sub-committees meet, often on a termly basis and these report to the full Governing Body.
The most important quality for a parent governor is enthusiasm. A governor needs to be supportive of the work of the school and be a critical friend to provide challenge and support to the headteacher and the leadership of the school.
We do already have two parents who are interested in becoming a governor, but would welcome interest from others. If you would like further information on this role, please contact R Standish, Clerk to the Governors, on lhs@lblearning.com, to obtain an application form.
