Villiers Park STEM Scholars of the Year!

Two students Lauren Archer (Y13) and Sophie McCarthy(Y11) were proud winners of the prestigious Mike Baker Award through their involvement with the Tyneside Villiers Park STEM Scholars scheme which has been running now in school for 4 years. Many other schools are involved but both Lauren and Sophie have been recognised for their continuous positive and hardworking attitude in their studies throughout the year, as well as their dynamic and enthusiastic approach to Villiers Park activities. In fact, this is the second time that Lauren has won the award, she did so back in year 10. Both students are progressing on to the next stage of their academic careers. Lauren is pursuing a Chemistry degree at university whilst Sophie is staying on into Sixth Form at Longbenton to take A levels in Chemistry, Maths and Biology. We wish both students every success in their next step. Well done!”
